Challah Bread Recipe

If you let go of perfection, this is an easy one to make!

I get stuck not trying a lot of recipes because I feel like they have to be done a certain way. Challah was one of those recipes for me, for a long time.

But then I tried it. And yup, it did NOT look like a beautiful braid when it was done, but man it was tasty!! And in the end, I’m pretty sure that matters more :) So I kept making it, again and again. Sometimes it’s pretty, and sometimes it’s a bit more blob-like.

It’s been a while since I’ve baked this, but Easter reminded me of it because I saw several pictures on Instagram of others making this tasty bread for an Easter weekend treat. My mom used to make it this time of year, and she would often make it a crown shape and put coloured hard-boiled eggs on top. It was beautiful and such a lovely treat for Easter morning breakfast.
