It has been years since I have attempted to make anything with tuna in my household because my kids hated tuna as youngsters.
But with the rising food costs, and the fact that I am not a rich woman, I am always trying to find cheaper protein sources. I also love fish and seek ways to include it more in our meals.
I got a great deal on good-quality canned tuna and decided it was time to try again. My kids are older and aren’t all that picky, so I played around with a recipe, and I succeeded!
It was a hit even with my kid who isn’t a pasta guy, on top of not being a tuna guy :)
That is a win!
One of the great things about casseroles is that they are forgiving. You really can add whatever pleases you. I had veggies to clean out of my fridge, and they all ended up here this week, and it was so tasty!
I will give you the basics, but don’t be afraid to play. Add things as they make sense. Don’t add it if you don’t like it.
This is how mine looked this week, which is totally different from last time…
Without further ado…
