I need to start by apologizing for the fact that most of you likely don’t have access to lilacs anymore this season.
Things are slightly delayed where I am, so I had viable flowers until the past week.
I might repost these early next spring :)
But in the meantime, and in case you still have lilacs, I’m going to share the syrup I made this week! So simple to make and so yummy!!
And hey, just a little tip - you could use this same basic recipe with other edible flowers like lavender!

The syrup recipe I am going to share with you today is essentially a simple syrup. It isn’t as thick as your typical pancake. It is thin and runny, and is wonderful for adding a little boost to your morning coffee or latte, or for making mixed drinks (alcoholic or not). Even using some of this and adding club soda or tonic water would be delightful!
But despite the runnier nature of this syrup, I am going to try it on my pancakes next time we have them, too :)
